Pawsible strives to promote Black businesses and success, and today we are sharing some of our favorite Black-owned dog shops. Whether you are looking for a new collar, bandana, tag, shampoo, treats, or even some dog-related human accessories, there is something on this list for you and your furry friend!

If you are a Puppy Raiser for a Service Dog training organization, please refer to them on any purchases to ensure they are allowed for your puppy.

  1. Ava’s Pet Palace (pictured right) - If you are seeking to purchase some healthy, all-natural, limited-ingredient, and organic dog treats, take a look at Ava’s Pet Palace! This small business was started by a then eight-year-old girl, Ava, who believes that every pet owner should be able to prioritize “the health and wellness of their furry friends.”

  2. Scotch & Tea - Looking for colorful and adorable collars and bandanas? You may want to take a look at Scotch & Tea! This shop sells good-quality collars for dogs of all sizes, and you can even add on a Fi Collar attachment! They also have a Black Lives Matter section where you can purchase human and dog merchandise alike all while supporting Black business owners.

  3. Sir DogWood - The one-stop-shop for your pup to achieve a chic and modern style! This business sells a variety of products from your typical collars and leashes, to onesies and even crowns. A portion of their monthly sales is donated to the non-profit One Tail at a Time.

  4. Nova West Supplies - Have a dog with sensitive skin? Check out Nova West Supplies! Their Natural Doggie Shampoo is eco-friendly and hypoallergenic with ingredients that aim to soothe certain skin conditions.

  5. Sir Darius Brown - Looking for a stylish bowtie? Check out Sir Darius Brown’s bowties! This shop has a variety of handmade bowties, there’s something for everyone! Not only are you supporting a Black-owned business with your purchase from this shop, but a portion of their proceeds are donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

  6. House Dogge - Looking for sustainable pet supplies? House Dogge strives to provide sustainable and artisanal dog toys and accessories! They carry a variety of pet products; from doggy hoodies to personalized toys and bags.

  7. Simply Sage Dog Treats - If your dog has sensitive skin or allergies, this might be the store for you! Simply Sage Dog Treats has a variety of dog shampoo bars and balms designed for sensitive skin, itch-relief, and to soothe and reduce allergic reactions.

  8. Trill Paws - Tired of the same bone-shaped tags sold at every single pet store? Check out Trill Paws for some unique options! This shop offers dog tags, collars, leashes, toys, and even some human accessories like stickers and sweatshirts that are unlike any other.
