Director of Development

Pawsible Inc. is expanding and is in need of a Director of Development. We are looking for someone that has experience in fundraising and working knowledge of peer-to-peer fundraising, and/or local or national fundraising initiatives. The position of Director of Development is a remote, part-time, and unpaid position within a growing executive suite of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The individual holding this position is expected to not only fulfill all outlined duties but also take initiative in growing the position and setting positive precedence. No specific work experience is required but you must be able to perform the tasks assigned to you, even if that means learning on the job. We do ask that all applicants have a background in fundraising.
Minimum Expected Duties:
Work closely with other directors and the C-Suite to meet the needs of Pawsible’s beneficiaries while also supporting Pawsible’s growth as an organization
Begin and run national-level and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, work with the CCO to promote campaigns through newsletters and social media
Manage all online fundraising platforms, assist with the management of an online branded apparel and product store in coordination with the CFO
Manage and oversee pantry donations and our Amazon Wishlist
Form policies/standards of practice for fundraiser management and expectations, draft training documents and media for regions and chapters
Manage grant applications in conjunction with the CFO and Director of Accounting
Manage all donor relations, standardize methods of donor appreciation
Please note this position is entirely remote. Zoom will be used for video conferencing and the Google Suite is used for all the organization’s activities and functions. Fluency in Google Drive products is required.

To fill the Director of Development position, we are seeking an individual that:
Can work remotely for 5-10 hours a week (hours are flexible) and video conference for regular executive management meetings
Takes initiative, is hardworking, creative, resilient, and works well in a group
Has advanced knowledge about conducting fundraisers and revenue streams for nonprofits; preference is given to those with functional knowledge and relevant work/volunteer experience
Is willing to learn on the fly and creatively mesh their skills and ideas into the goals of the executive management team
Can balance and prioritize various tasks and goals while meeting deadlines
Is excited to work in the nonprofit industry and has an appreciation for assistance dogs and volunteers who raise and train them through their puppy years
Is willing to volunteer their time and effort to this position. Pawsible is young and currently unable to pay no executive or leader within the organization
A love for dogs is always a plus!

Pawsible is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was co-founded by Vanessa Barker (CEO) and Cate Law (Senior Director of New Initiatives) in March 2019 to financially assist volunteer raisers of future assistance dogs who are required to pay for at least part of the basic needs of the puppy. To assist puppy raisers, Pawsible operates programs focused on providing financial support, community development, and leadership / professional development to volunteer puppy raisers.
Pawsible's executive management is responsible for growing and maintaining the operations of Pawsible, also reporting their progress to Pawsible's Board of Directors. Pawsible’s mission is to not just assist individuals and groups in need of support within the assistance dog industry, but also to advocate for them provide mechanisms of support for their endevours.
