Chief Marketing Officer

Pawsible is expanding and is in need of an individual who can manage the organization’s digital marketing and branding. We are looking for someone that has experience with and digital marketing, including skills in social media management, email marketing, basic design, and organizational branding. The position of Chief Marketing Officer is a remote, part-time, and unpaid position within a growing executive suite of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This position has not been filled before and the individual holding this position is expected to not only fulfill all outlined duties but also take initiative in growing the position and setting positive precedence. No specific work experience is required but you must be able to perform the tasks assigned to you, even if that means learning on the job. We do ask that all applicants have a background in digital marketing.
Minimum Expected Duties:
Work closely with CEO, COO, and CFO to grow our ourganization, engage with the volunteer puppy raiser community, and support Pawsible’s growth as an organization
Advise the executive suite and the Board of Directors on marketing tactics when requested
Manage the Marketing & Communcations team's projects and cross-team collaborations, assist Director of Marketing & Director of Communication in project management as needed
Manage Pawsible's marketing methods and practices, assist in documentation and proceedures; further Pawsible's branding and marketing standards
Assist with all marketing matters of a young and growing nonprofit. Much of what we will need is currently unknown and there will be a lot of opportunity in this position to grow your role. Taking initiative is a must
Work closely with CEO and executive team to meet the needs of Pawsible’s beneficiaries while also supporting Pawsible’s growth as an organization
Attend all Executive meetings (held virtually)
Please note that at this time this position is entirely remote. Zoom will be used for video conferencing and the Google Suite is used for all the organization’s activities and functions. Fluency in Google Drive products is required.

To fill the Chief Marketing Officer position, we are seeking an individual that:
Can work remotely 7-15 hours a week (hours are flexible) and video conference for regular executive suite meetings
Takes initiative, is hardworking, creative, resilient, and works well in a group
Has applicable marketing knowledge and social media management skills; preference given to those with functional knowledge and relevant work/volunteer experience
Is willing to learn on the fly and creatively mesh their skills and ideas into the goals of the executive suite
Can balance and prioritize various tasks and goals while meeting deadlines
Is excited to work in the nonprofit industry and has an appreciation for assistance dogs and volunteers who raise and train them through their puppy years
Is willing to volunteer their time and effort to this position. Pawsible is young and currently unable to pay no executive or leader within the organization
A love for dogs is always a plus!

Pawsible is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was co-founded by Vanessa Barker (CEO) and Cate Law (Senior Director of New Initiatives) in March 2019 to financially assist volunteer raisers of future assistance dogs who are required to pay for at least part of the basic needs of the puppy. To assist puppy raisers, Pawsible operates programs focused on providing financial support, community development, and leadership / professional development to volunteer puppy raisers.
Pawsible's executive management is responsible for growing and maintaining the operations of Pawsible, also reporting their progress to Pawsible's Board of Directors. Pawsible’s mission is to not just assist individuals and groups in need of support within the assistance dog industry, but also to advocate for them provide mechanisms of support for their endevours.
