About the Position

Pawsible Inc. is looking for individuals whose main focus will be expansion. We are eager to increase the number of chapters we operate in and increase the number of assistance dog organizations Pawsible is working with. We are looking for someone that has familiarity with the puppy raising community within the organization they work with as well as other organizations outside of their own. The position of Outreach Coordinator is a remote, part-time, and unpaid position within a future 501(c)3 nonprofit. This particular position has not been filled before and the individuals holding these positions are expected to not only fulfill all outlined duties but also take initiative in growing the position and setting positive precedents. You will be able to collaborate and learn with other Outreach Coordinators and our Director of Outreach. No specific work experience is required but you must be able to perform the tasks assigned to you, even if that means learning on the job.
Minimum Expected Duties:
Be a Leader
Work closely with our Director of Outreach and other Outreach Coordinators
Virtually attend all Outreach Team meetings (any need to miss a meeting should be communicated with the Director of Outreach prior to the meeting occurring)
Keep any application details confidential unless you have written permission from the individual to share details for outreach purposes ONLY
Engage in the discussion surrounding Pawsible's expansion
Research Assistance Dog Organizations and their existing groups, clubs, and chapters
Brainstorm ways to reach volunteer puppy raisers
Identify and pursue any opportunities related to expanding Pawsible to include new geographical locations and other Assistance Dog Organizations
Build relationships with volunteer puppy raisers that Pawsible is not partnered with
Communicate interest and/or opportunities for expansion to the Director of Outreach
Direct interested parties to fill out the New Chapter Representative Interest Form
Participate in interviews of interested parties led by the Director of Outreach
Please note that at this time this position is entirely remote. Zoom will be used for video conferencing and the Google Suite is used for all the organization’s activities and functions. Fluency in Google Drive products is required.

To fill the Outreach Coordinator positions, we are seeking individuals that:
Can work remotely for 3 - 7 hours a week (hours are flexible) and video conference for regular meetings
Takes initiative, is hardworking, creative, resilient, and works well in a group
Has at minimum, basic knowledge about future assistance dogs and the puppy raising community
Has experience with the puppy raising community
Is willing to learn on the fly
Can balance and prioritize various tasks and goals while meeting deadlines
Is excited to work in the nonprofit industry and has an appreciation for assistance dogs and volunteers who raise and train them through their puppy years
Is willing to volunteer their time and effort to this position. Pawsible is young and currently unable to pay no executive or leader within the organization.

Pawsible is a future nonprofit that was co-founded by Vanessa Barker (CEO) and Cate Law (COO) in March 2019 to financially assist volunteer raisers of future assistance dogs who are required to pay for at least part of the basic needs of the puppy. These needs include dog food, vet bills, and other mandatory puppy raising supplies. To assist puppy raisers, Pawsible operates a Financial Assistance Fund funded with financial gifts and Puppy Pantries stocked with donated items. All operations are supported solely through donations and financial gifts. We are working on expanding our number of chapers and forming partnerships with other assistance dog organizations, while also focusing on internal growth and missioned-aligned practices. Pawsible's executive managment is responsible for growing and maintaining the operations of Pawsible and reports to the Board of Directors who ensure that Pawsible is effective in the pursuit of our mission. As an organization we seek to change the fractured volunteering model that is standard in the nonprofit industry where volunteers are expected to contribute financially on top of time and effort contributions. Puppy raisers of assistance dogs, especially those in college or who are young adults, often struggle with the associated expenses. Pawsible’s mission is to not just assist those individuals and groups who are struggling, but also to advocate for a change to the system to financially support volunteers.
