Pawsible is expanding and is in need of three new Assistance Advisors.
The position of Assistance Advisor is a remote, part-time, and unpaid position within a future 501(c)3 nonprofit. No specific work experience is required but you must be able to perform the tasks assigned to you, even if that means learning on the job.
To be an Assistance Advisor, we are seeking individuals that:

Take initiative, are hardworking, and work well in a group
Are willing to learn on the fly and creatively mesh their skills and ideas into the goals of the Assistance Council
Can balance and prioritize various tasks and goals while meeting deadlines
Are excited to work in the nonprofit industry and have an appreciation for assistance dogs and volunteers who raise and train them through their puppy years
Are willing to volunteer their time and effort to this position. Pawsible is young and currently unable to pay no team member within the organization
A love for dogs is always a plus!
If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply! We still encourage your application if you are unfamiliar with the assistance-dog and/or nonprofit industry.
Work closely with Director of Programs, Director of Finance, and other Assistance Advisors to meet the needs of Pawsible’s applicants while also supporting Pawsible’s growth as an organization
Vote on whether applicants should receive assistance and help determine what level of assistance to provide
Be an active participant in all discussions in the Assistance Council
Be an advocate for applicants who are truly in need, but also bear in mind that Pawsible is a growing start-up and the preservation of Pawsible's funding is also important
Please note that at this time this position is entirely remote. Zoom will be used for video conferencing and the Google Suite is used for all the organization’s activities and functions. Fluency in Google Drive products is required.

What is Pawsible?
Pawsible is a future 501(c)3 nonprofit that was co-founded by Vanessa Barker (CEO) and Cate Law (COO) in 2019 to financially assist volunteer raisers of future assistance dogs who are required to pay for at least part of the basic needs of the puppy. These needs include dog food, vet bills, and other mandatory puppy raising supplies. To assist puppy raisers, Pawsible operates a Financial Assistance Fund funded and a National Pantry stocked with donated items. All operations are supported solely through donations and financial gifts that will be tax-deductible upon receiving 501(c)3 status that is currently pending.
Puppy raisers of assistance dogs, especially those in college or who are young adults, often struggle with the associated expenses. Pawsible’s mission is to not just assist those individuals and groups who are struggling, but also to advocate for a change to the system to financially support volunteers.
